Anna Su Vejeliu | [bildende Kunst] – [Musik]
I was born in 1989 in Vilnius. All my life I remember myself as a musician. Long studies and later followed performances and gigs with various bands in Lithuania and abroad.
After being graduated in Lithuanian academy of music and theatre as a professional musician, I discovered photography and painting. This happened during my first visit to Austria where my brother and sister were both studying art. At that time I visited almost all possible museums in Vienna and was very impressed by the outstanding works of Albrecht Dürer, Leonardo da Vinci, Egon Schiele, Oscar Kokoschka, Gustav Klimt and others.
I started to draw everything around me using the technique I discovered in childhood. After practicing painting regularly I became satisfied with the results. So I can call myself a self-thought painter.
My first solo exhibition was held in the underground studio in Vilnius at February 26, 2016. Visitors saw my hand painted abstract books with the many pictures inside. Also I prepared series of paintings on “Walking” theme and more than 100 works made in a botanical garden.
In 24 of March followed another exhibition. It was 30 “Winter Skeches” for Skalvija Cinema’s cafeteria’s gallery.
From 11 until 31 of August, among many famous artists from Lithuania I participated in exhibition Jazz/Rock’n’Roll/Canvas held by Saint Jonas Street gallery in Vilnius.
At 2016 September I participated at “Young Painter Price 2017” contest. “Rashel / Things I do only with you” was printed in the catalogue.
My artwork „My city I / Tower of Gediminas “ is in a group exhibition at Paliesius Manor.
Artworks are possessed by various private collectors from Lithuania, Poland, Italy, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands and Israel.
As a musician this year I mostly work on my first solo album, performing and collaborate with my bands Jazz By Two and Volumetears ( Streles ) .
