Am 26.9. ab 15 Uhr spielen Daniel Cross (Percussion, Utrecht) und Tim Isfort (Kontrabaß, Duisburg) auf der Rheinfähre Orsoy-Walsum. Im 10-15 Minutentakt! geht es hin und her zwischen der Anlegestelle im dörflichen Orsoy und dem Kohlekraftwerk Walsum.
Die Idee ist, dass abwechselnd Musiker zusteigen und natürlich in die Session (also neudeutsch: Performance) einsteigen. Es gibt keinen Strom, nur eine Akkubox, mit einem Mikro dran… - deshalb rufen wir in erster Linie Bläser, Vocalisten, Sprecher (Texte zum Thema?) und Percussionisten auf mitzumachen, aber natürlich geht auch `ne Harmonica, Gitarre.
Gerne kann diese Einladung weitergeleitet werden.
Gage gibts leider nicht, aber die Fährkosten werden erstattet. `nen Drink gibts natürlich auch und eine schöne Dokumentation.
Der mögliche Ausweichtermin bei Regenwetter (wird hier bekanntgegeben) ist der Sonntag 27.9. um 11:00 Uhr.
Im Rahmen der 4. Residenz kommt es zu einem internationalen Zusammentreffen: der aktuelle Improviser in Residence aus Moers, Hayden Chisholm (alto sax), der niederländische Percussionist und Elektroniker Daniel Cross und der Moerser Bassist Tim Isfort begegnen sich dabei erstmals. Die gemeinsame musikalische Reise beginnt in Moers im Fördermaschinengebäude Rheinpreußen Schacht IV und geht am gleichen Tag weiter in die alte Saftmosterei auf Schloß Wissen, wo die niederländische Künstlerin Corine van der Werf eine Installation und Performance vorbereitet hat. Das XOX-Theater in Kleve, das Lokal Harmonie in Du-Ruhrort und der ehem. Wasserturm in Geldern mit seiner aktuellen Ausstellung der Turmstipendiaten bieten in der Woche die Location für die weitere Begegnung der Musiker.
Zum Abschluss der Residenz von Cross ist eine große Musikperformance auf der Rheinfähre Orsoy-Walsum geplant.
Der gebürtige Neuseeländer Hayden Chisholm gilt derzeit einer der innovativsten Altsaxophonisten Europas und ein echter musikalischer Weltenbummler – er studierte in Köln, Japan und Indien, seine Stücke wurden von der BBC und dem WDR aufgenommen, als Solist unternahm er ausgedehnte weltweite Tourneen. Er schreibt außerdem Filmmusik, kreiert Klanginstallationen, entwickelte in den 90ern eine mikrotonale Sprache für Saxophon... ein Glück für Moers, dass er für ein Jahr das musikalische Leben der Stadt bereichert!
Der niederländische Perkussionist Daniel Cross ist Mastermind des Utrechter „Rosa Ensemble“, benannt nach dem brasilianischen Autor João Guimarães Rosa. Auch das Rosa Ensemble sucht das Unbekannte zwischen den Welten, zwischen ernster und ‚leichter’ Musik, Akustik und Elektronik, Traditionellem und Experimentellem, Klassik, Pop, Installation und Theater(musik). In diesem Spannungsfeld entsteht die Musik von Daniel Cross, elektronisch oder auf akustischen Percussioninstrumenten.
Wie Chisholm oder Cross ist auch Tim Isfort ein musikalischer Weltreisender und Grenzgänger – obwohl er eigentlich immer in der Region geblieben ist. So führten ihn musikalische Reisen nach Myanmar, in den Kongo oder nach Weißrussland. Von Jazz über Pop bis zu experimentellen Projekten reicht seine musikalische Palette; als Bassist, Theatermusiker, Komponist und Arrangeur arbeitet er mit Künstlern aus verschiedenen Sparten. Nachdem er einige Jahre das Traumzeit-Festival Duisburg leitete, gründete er später mit der freien Szene das alternative Duisburger Platzhirsch-Festival.
WHISPERING WINGS
Corine van der Werf invents spatial installations. Her primary material is paper: vulnerable and perishable. Every artefact suggests a fragile skin: is it a former episode in the life of someone living in this body: passing by and evolving in a unpredictable direction? Or the breeding-ground of an un-known being who needs some help to be materialized? The artist refers with WHISPERING WINGS to the metaphor of the chaos theory, assuming the fact that we are all connected on this earth on so many levels; the small movement of a butterflies wings on the far side of the planet can produce a hurricane and change life tremendously on our side.
Corine presents an unfinished installation. During her performance the artist will continue her work on the waves of the Supersymmetry and the audience moving about within the boundaries of her installation.
Supersymmetry
"Imagine a sea, an endless sea with ships crossing it. Each wake, every wave stirred up by a ship tells us something about the past, about that ship, when and where it saled and in what direction it went. The waves contain information, like a memory.
Then another ship crosses this wake. The interference of both waves tell us about the history of both ships. And so on. The Akasha Field is like this sea containing all mater and the memory of everything ever happened. But since we know there is no past, present and future ... thanks to Quantum Fysics we know now that time is just a dimention, just another page in a scrapbook .... So since we know there is no past, present and future, the Akashic Memory not only contains the history of the past, but also the history of the future. And since we know that Quantum Particles co-exist in multiple realities ... again; think of all the papers in that scrapbook ... The Akasha field not only contains the memory of things that happened and thing that will happen but also things that have never happened and things that never will happen…” DC

and can always be accessed again in addition to images and sounds, emotions being felt during an event are also recorded
